What is weathering steel?

Weathering steel is a special type of steel between stainless steel and carbon steel. Its characteristics are atmospheric corrosion resistance and coating performance is better than ordinary carbon steel, and the price is more economical and applicable compared with stainless steel.

Weathering steel, that is, atmospheric corrosion resistant steel, is a low alloy steel series between ordinary steel and stainless steel.
